Connection to the Hunter Valley – Sister Leila Godfrey’s family home at time of enlistment was The Cottage, King Street, East Maitland

Training and experience – trained Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, passed examination for membership of the Australian Trained Nurses’ Association in 1916.

Service – Australian  Army Nursing Service (AANS)

Service location – UK and Salonika
