Connection to the Hunter Valley – Staff Nurse Alma McKnight was born in Patricks Plains, Singleton. She is named on Singleton Citizens’ Memorial. There is also a Nurse K McKnight listed on the Warkworth Public School Roll of Honour, which is likely to be a mis-transcription of “A McKnight”.
