Staff Nurse Annie Elsie HOCQUARD, c1886 – 1969

Connection to the Hunter Valley – The Hocquard family lived in Stockton.  Staff Nurse Annie Hocquard is named on the Stockton Citizens’ Memorial.  Her sister Genevieve Nimmo “Vera” Hocquard also joined the AANS.

Training and experience – Annie trained at Newcastle Hospital and passed the examination for membership of the Australian Trained Nurses’ Association in 1913.
